Fish

Here is a client's cutbow।

I get many questions about fish taxidermy.

Here are a few pointers:

First take a lot of good pictures that you can bring or send to me for reference!!! Remember the better the pictures the better the mount.

1) For fish reproductions take
a)total length measurement

b)girth measurement
c)heighth measurement (from back
to the belly)

2) For skin mounts
a)sprinkle fish with borax and keep it
cold (if you don't have borax-just keep it cold)
b)wrap it in a wet paper towel and
then put it in a plastic sack
c)don't let it touch any other fish
